The intervention refers to the restoration and expansion of a pousada and the transformation into a hostel. The most used material is wood. A suspended canopy is built in wood that allows circulation outside the private spaces outside the rooms. The new part is also made of wood to be used as a library. Another material used is 'talisca di dende', a natural fiber obtained from the coconut leaf, woven on wooden supports, to form panels for dividing the spaces between the rooms.
